Mrs Jennie Thomas AM

In recognition of Exceptional Service to HMRI, we acknowledge Mrs Jennie Thomas AM.

The last, but certainly not least, of the recipients is HMRI Life Governor Jennie Thomas. When Jennie comes into your life, you are welcomed into her extended family. Since May 2002, HMRI has been a member of that extended family.

A philanthropist who leads with both her heart and her head, Jennie has been instrumental in the development of the research careers of many young, outstanding researchers. Her emphasis on education, young people and the importance of dreams elevates her philanthropy to another level.

Jennie has built her life around giving, taking pride in providing young people the opportunity to shape who they are, what they do and the legacy they leave for others. As well as her tireless support for health and medical research, Jennie is also known as an advocate for the arts and the environment.

Her email address sums it all up – ‘jtlifesgood’ and she has the innate ability to make life good for those around her. Jennie and David are currently in Canada and unable to be with us tonight. We will acknowledge Jennie at the HMRI Awards Night in November.
