Public Stroke Forum

The Priority Research Centre for Translational Neuroscience and Mental Health Research (CTNMH), in partnership with Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) invites you to a free public forum providing information on one of Australia’s leading causes of death and disability, stroke.

Three of our leading stroke researchers and clinicians will discuss Stroke prevention, acute care of stroke cases, and post-stroke recovery.

Presenters:

· Prof Michael Nilsson (Director of Hunter Medical Research Institute)

· Dr Ferdi Miteff (Interventional Neurologist, JHH Acute Stroke Team).

· Michelle Russell (Senior Stroke Research Nurse)

The evening will comprise a 20 minute presentation by each keynote speaker and a Q & A session with a panel of key researchers and clinicians.

Light refreshments will be provided.
