how you can help

An investment in HMRI is an investment in the health of current and future generations, all over the world.

Everybody can make a contribution to the work of HMRI. From volunteer to donor, it is the combined effort of many people coming together that fuels the success of HMRI.

There are many ways in which you can help HMRI.

Since 1998, HMRI has awarded research grants of almost $5 million. Project grants and awards are a catalyst for success in obtaining highly competitive government and industry funding to further the research of our talented researchers. Our grant assessment process ensures that only the best research in the Hunter is funded.

The power of these grants is best explained with an example. In 2004, HMRI grants of $93,000 led to government research grants of $2.1million. In 2005, we improved our success with funding of $2.6 million from an investment of just $48,000 in project grants. HMRI does make a real difference to researchers!

Workplace Giving

Workplace giving offers your employees a simple and effective way to support medical research in our region, research that could save the life of someone they love.

HMRI can work with you to promote your support of workplace giving through avenues such as your customer and staff newsletters.
