WE ARE ...
A group of young people committed to boosting their social
lives in the name of medical research.
The objective of PULSE is to:
- Raise funds for early career researchers
- support HMRI, a charitable fundraising organisation, by hosting affordable and innovative events for young people
- Promote emerging young talent
- Raise awareness of the work of the Hunter's young medical researchers and promote their amazing achievements.
PULSE raises funds for early career researchers by hosting affordable and innovative events for the young and the young at heart!
Over the years PULSE has hosted events such as Double Decker Vineyards Tour, Shake Your Tail Feather, Double Decker Mystery Tour, Speed Dating, Makin' Whoopee, The Lounge Party, Destiny, Ball of Laughs, The Secret Garden Party, Beachside Bowling, as well as regular movie nights and wine tastings. Funds raised by PULSE support the HMRI Early Career Medical Researcher of the Year and the PULSE Education Prize.
In 2008 PULSE awarded funding to researchers investigating stroke, asthma in pregnancy, male infertility and multiple sclerosis. Click here to read about this year's winners.
