Do you or someone you know have asthma?
Would you like to try a tablet to treat asthma?
The VIVA Program (Vaccines, Immunity, Viruses and Asthma) at the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI), John Hunter Hospital needs volunteers to participate in a national research trial investigating a new treatment for asthma.
The study aims to reduce the number of asthma flare ups and daily symptoms experienced by adults with asthma who already take regular asthma medications.
The ‘AMAZES’ Study involves leading researchers in Newcastle, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth and is trialling a new tablet in addition to usual asthma medications. Participants do NOT need to stop their regular asthma medications and will have their asthma closely monitored during visits to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.
